Top registration fee

The registration fee covers both days of the conference. There is no single day registration.

Staff: All academic members of staff (including clinical titleholders, academic titleholders and conjoint appointments) of the College of Health Sciences. Staff includes full-time and part-time staff, and staff who are also part-time students enrolled in Masters by research or PhD programs within the College of Health Sciences.

Students: Full-time and part-time students enrolled at the time of registration in Masters by research or PhD programs in the College of Health Sciences, who do not meet the description of staff above.

fee includes:

  • Conference mini-poster book - which will be circulated prior to the conference
  • Share accommodation on Wednesday night including Thursday breakfast at either Peppers Fairmont Resort or the Mercure Resort (see "accommodation" below)
  • Morning tea, afternoon tea and lunch on both days
  • Admission to all sessions and workshops

fee does not include:

  • GST (exempt for staff and students)
  • Conference dinner & entertainment (additional $40)
  • Choice of accommodation (see "Accommodation" below for details)
  • Accommodation for partners and children not attending the conference

The Conference dinner will be held at 7:00pm on Wednesday, 1 November at Peppers Fairmont Resort. Fee includes entertainment and drinks. If you wish to bring a partner who is not attending the conference, please note this on the registration form.

Top accommodation

Twin-Share accommodation is being provided free for conference delegates only at both Peppers Fairmont Resort and the nearby Mercure Resort on Wednesday night. If you wish to nominate another conference delegate to share a room, both registration forms must be sent together.

NB. Space is at a premium and rooms are provided free to delegates. So, NO single rooms are being made available to delegates and NO rooms are available for partners or children who are not delegates. If you wish to have your own room or share with a partner or child who are not delegates, do not tick the box for accommodation on the Registration Form and make arrangements to stay in one of the many comfortable establishments nearby [Try the Blue Mountains Accommodation web-site as a starting point]. The fee for delegates not requiring accommodation is $95 for staff and $45 for students.

room allocation:

  • Rooms will be allocated only to fully paid-up delegates.
  • Preference will be given to individuals presenting mini-posters.
  • Individuals (or pairs of individuals [you may nominate someone to share with]) will be allocated rooms in either Peppers Fairmont Resort or the Mercure Resort 5 minutes walk away from the conference venue. Both resorts offer good quality accommodation. Should demand exceed the block bookings in these resorts additional accommodation of a similar quality will be provided nearby.

Print out and complete the Registration Form and return it with your payment immediately to the address below (also shown on the Registration Form).

Make sure that all relevant sections are complete, method of payment is selected and that your cheque or money order is attached if applicable. If paying by credit card or journal transfer please ensure the form is appropriately signed. Registration Forms without payment will not be processed.

closing date for registrations

Registrations close on Friday, 15 September 2000. You will be sent a receipt and letter acknowledging your registration.

Top cancellation policy

  • All cancellations will incur a 50% cancellation fee.
  • Cancellations after 5:00pm, Friday, 13 October 2000 will default the full registration fee.

And, as rooms and meals are heavily subsidised by the sponsors,

  • Delegates who do not attend the conference and/or do not use accommodation reserved for them will default the full registration fee and will be charged the difference between the actual cost of accommodation and meals (ie, what Peppers Fairmont Resort charges) and the registration fee.
